Air Conditioning Service

The stuff you need to know-

Only DEFRA registered technicians can legally handle air conditioning gases (July 2010).
Your car is only 70-80% filled with R138a (refrigerant gas) when new from the manufacturer.
You air conditioning looses 10% of its gas every year.
A 3 year old vehicles air conditioning is only 50% efficient (if not serviced from new).
Blocked carbon/pollen filters can reduce the efficiency of the AC/Climate control.
Lack of servicing can cause Compressor and other expensive failure.
The gas and oil inside your system is hygroscopic, lack of annual servicing can cause internal rusting of components and failure.
Lack of servicing harbours bacteria and fungus in your air conditioning system.
Bacteria can cause ear, nose and throat infections (sick car syndrome).
Pollen filters reduce the risk of hay fever.
A full air conditioning service takes around 1.5 hours to complete.

Only to be carried out by a DEFRA authorised technician (The Law).
Replacement Cabin/Carbon Filter.
Reclaim of old refrigerant safely .
Moisture removal from air conditioning pipes and components.
Vacuum pressure testing for 30 minutes.
UV Leak testing.
New R134a gas filling to 100%.
PAG Oil replacement.
Drive belt tension and condition check.
Hoses and fittings checked.
Run system and temperature and pressure check.

Includes-Antibacterial Service Cost £15
Price Includes-


Microbiological cleaning the system.
Antibacterial Vapour released into air ducts and Condenser.
Check for ‘Maximum cold’ cabin temperature.
Check for ‘Maximum performance’.

Full Service cost £65.00

Price Includes-
Air conditioning service and Antibacterial service
Pressure testing and Fault Diagnostic £45 per hour.

UV Dye additive £7.50.
